The key to writing
Mission Critical O.L.T.P Client/Server applications
AMBER CS++
is a whole new way of developing client/server applications. It is designed on the
principle that tailoring a powerful transaction processing engine should not be painful.
Complex systems will always exist, but defining them should be easy and implementing them
should be quick!
Tools
to get the job done
The visual approach is what
the programming community wants, and that is what you get in this Windows-based
development environment. Underneath the hood is a powerful natural language Programming
Engine that provides the flexibility that application developers require today. The
availability of controls customized for commercial transactions, such as PowerScroll,
create interfaces that help users rather than hinder them. The Visual WorkBench ties all
these tools together with browsing and debugging tools.
The Programming
Engine of AMBER CS++provides your total
solution
AMBER CS++
is your total solution. The combination of its powerful Transaction Engine and its
easy-to-use Programming Engine provide the solution that programmers have been waiting
for. The visual WindowMaker with the incorporated natural language scripting interface
provides extensive customization possibilities. AMBER CS++can
be configured as a standalone setup, with its Windows 9x/NT/2000 server component it is
scalable up to multi-user high volume systems. AMBER CS++
is implemented in MS-Visual C++ using the MS-MFC library.
Tightly coupled
client/server-relational database engineered for real-time, multi-client O.L.T.P. No
private local data buffering. Shared data access effectively uses the same data image.
Automatic real-time onscreen updating of views of shared data. Continuous background
updating of database indexes, therefore no sorting delays. Automatic field locking during
changes, so no explicit locking by the programmer required.
Desktop WorkBench
Client and Server engines both run on single workstations, in either single or
multi-tasking modes. Network WorkBench One dedicated Master Server running under MS
or Novell Networks controls the sharing of the data files being processed by the client
workstations.
The AMBER programming system
has evolved from a series of commercially proven products. By stretching these tools and
demanding more, many top-notch application programmers have fuelled the evolution of both
our transaction engine and the natural visual language. AMBER has an 95.000 strong user
community across Europe who rely on its rapid prototyping capability and fast runtime
execution to deliver transaction-based commercial applications of all types. |
